Is Focalith available now?
Focalith is in its development-partner phase. All nine modules are built, and we are welcoming a limited group of labs, optical shops and practices ahead of general release. Ask for a demo and we will walk you through it on sample data set up like your business.
What does the Development Partner Program cost?
Partners pay a reduced operating cost for the length of the program, based on the modules, locations and users you need. We go over the details with you, and there is no obligation to join.
Is it hard to learn?
Focalith is built to guide staff through each job: choices narrow to what fits, the next step is shown, and help and short lesson videos are built into every module. Staff do not need to know every product combination by heart.
Can we move our data from our current system?
Yes. Bringing your patients, prescriptions, items and history across is part of getting started, and partners get hands-on help with it. Tell us which systems you use today so we can plan the move with you.
Will it work with our lab machines?
The Focalith Equipment Gateway connects tracers, edgers, generators and exam-lane instruments using the industry-standard OMA format, over serial ports, the network or shared folders. Tell us your machine makes and models and we will confirm.
Do we have to use every module?
No. Each module works on its own. Start with the part of the business that needs it most and add modules later — your data is already in place when you do.
How is patient information protected?
Two-step sign-in, encryption, role-based and clinical access controls, and an audit trail of every record view, change and export. Each organization’s data is kept in its own databases.
Who owns the data?
You do. Your data stays in your organization’s own databases, and you can export it at any time.
